Winning “Champion Shiraz” in London should not be a surprise. Taylors Jaraman 2023 has racked up 4 Champion Trophies + Platinum + a Whopping 15 Gold Medals. Previous vintages have a powerful history of Domestic & Global Show Success! 2023 is a blend of 2 of the 3 most important and diverse sub regions in South Australia… Clare Valley & McLaren Vale. The best modestly cropped fruit is reserved for Jaraman and treated to best winemaking including high-quality oak maturation with a restrained 15-20% new barrels in the mix allowing the outstanding fruit to hero! Luscious and generously fruited with perfect oak and silky texture/tannin… it’s utterly seductive & moreish. Easy to see why it won the hearts and palates of the large international contingent of judges at the London Wine Show. Incredibly moreish as a young Shiraz… it will grow in complexity & stature through 2033+ if your able to be patient.
Smells
A rich, seductive, brooding bouquet of dark fruits, liquorice, chocolate, peppery spice and espresso coffee.
Tastes
Full bodied and very luscious! An opulent array of dark plum / berry fruits and spices infused with seductive coffee oak notes. Subtle savoury and black pepper characters emerge throughout the powerful milk chocolate inspired finish. Enjoy with meats and cheeses now and through 2033+ … but you can enjoy from the day of purchase, it’s so harmonious and moreish! it will cellar beautifully if well stored! The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
