Clos des Pierres Chardonnay is made in very small quantities from 25-year-old Mendoza vines, and where the 2022 is a stylish, creamy Chardonnay with biscuity mealiness. Truly delicious.
Smells
Toasty and biscuity on the nose with freshly picked nectarines and figs, with flinty, gun smoke and grapefruit notes
Tastes
the palate has incredible tension, with stone fruit underpinned by fennel, smoky, mealy, and mineral flavours. An elegant wine with a salivating, chalky texture, that resonates with the cooler climate region that Marlborough delivers, year in and year out. No rush to drink, cellar for 2-3 years and serve with roast chicken or pork.
