Description
The D is a single vineyard Riesling crafted by Te Whare Ra who can rightfully be claimed as one of Marlborough’s iconic vineyards. Riesling is something of a speciality at TWR and this small production is an excellent example of the dry style.
Smells
The aromatics are lively and intense with notes of citrus zest, green apples, kaffir lime and flint.
Tastes
Bone dry and very textural with a vast infusion of mineral complexity over citrus fruits buoyed by long zesty refreshing acids. The kind of Riesling that will drink beautifully on the hottest of summer days, in the shade, while you wait for the snapper fillets to marinade in the fridge…. Enjoy now and through 2029.
