Description
Framingham has long been hailed as New Zealand’s Riesling master, with international critics ranking their wines among the very best outside the Mosel. That same world-class craftsmanship shines through in this sensational 2024 Sauvignon Blanc. Winemaker Andrew Brown has layered in subtle skin contact and a whisper of oak — even a dash of acacia barrels — creating a wine that’s far more than just fresh and fruity. It’s complex, textured, beautifully food-friendly and, in our view, the finest release yet. A must-have for anyone who loves Sauvignon with serious character and will even sway those non-Sav drinkers.
Smells
Delightful florals of passionfruit and blackcurrant buds, dehydrated gooseberry, with a hint of apple, and guava.
Tastes
Juicy and fleshy with great structure, perfumed musk, and a long, super-pure finish, this is a lovely example of Wairau Sauvignon from one of the region's most consistently compelling wineries. The balance, concentration, and class are second to none. Superb drinking now through 2028 with your favourite catch of the day. For optimal drinking pleasure the recommended serving temperature is 7-10 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
