Taylor's Pass is one of Villa Maria’s benchmark single vineyard releases, it has an aromatic intensity and mineral complexity that the world has come to expect from this vinous powerhouse. Located on the Northern slopes of the Awatere River it displays the signature ripe herbaceous notes the sub-region is noted for.
Smells
Powerful and alluring aromas of passionfruit, lime zest and crushed herbs, with a flinty minerality adding density.
Tastes
Very concentrated passionfruit and gooseberries drive on the front palate. A lithe acidity threads the intense flavours, with a stone-edged minerality smoothing and extending the powerhouse finish. While it is delicious on its own, it will become even more divine when matched with green lip mussels or salmon fillet in crème, dill, and caper sauce. Enjoy now and through 2026.
