Description

Born in 1715 the house of Martell has always preferred the soft, complex, floral tasting grapes from the Borderies appellation. Their exquisite eaux de vie is aged in fine grain oak barrels for five - seven years which imbues rich, subtle elegant aromas, colours and flavours that are superior to many higher priced V.S.O.P's that would love to be this good, but simply aren't. The cognac with the blue swallow badge is still as soft, rich, smooth, mellow, fragrant and elegant as it ever was. If you have ever wondered why so many cognac connoisseurs love the Borderies appellation, grab a bottle of this violet perfumed, elixir and your new winter sipper will be a revelation to you. This is as good as VS (very special) cognac gets, full stop.
