Description
Crafted from a recipe dating back to 1775 and first distilled in the citadelle of Dunkirk, under the command of Louis XVI who gave it his royal seal. This incredibly smooth, soft, floral gin is an absolute timeless masterpiece. The preferred method of slow distillation in small copper pot stills over a naked flame, slowly infuses all 18 sun-dried botanicals to perfection. Acclaimed spirits critic F. Paul Pacult wrote ""Citadelle is what Gin was meant to be."" Gin Grand Master at the Gin Masters London 2012 meant Waterloo for Britains finest Gins. Sacre Bleu indeed just like the colour of the bottle.
Smells
juniper characters strongly emanate on the nose with subtle orange aromas and a lively exotic spice note from the cardamom used.
Tastes
the taste is about pure and refreshing juniper, it's a classic and this is why, unfolding into citrus notes and finishing clean, dry and peppery.
