Description
Starward Distillery located in the Heart of Melbourne can now claim bragging rights as being Australia’s most awarded Distillery – having won 12 Double Gold and 3 Golds at the 2022 San Fransisco World Spirits Competition. Fortis is Latin for ‘Bold’ or ‘Brave’ – apt given this is their only cask strength (50% ABV) expression. This single malt is aged in ex-American Oak red wine barrels, sourced from local Barossa wineries, this American oak gives a richer, more decadent character to the Whisky. Expect notes of vanilla, blueberry jam, muscadelle raisins, chocolate and cinnamon.
