The gravel-rich soils near Saint-Laurent Médoc favor Cabernet Sauvignon, giving rise to wines of backbone, depth, and aging potential. The 2022 vintage is bold yet refined—capturing the solar generosity of the year while preserving clarity and poise.
Smells
Powerful and expressive, cassis, blackberry, and ripe damson plum, with complex aromas of cigar box, pencil shavings, and crushed violets, with a touch of cedar, vanilla, and dark chocolate rounding out the aromatic profile.
Tastes
Structured and polished, the palate offers a firm core of black fruit, blackcurrant, black cherry, and mulberry supported by ripe, grippy tannins and a backbone of fresh acidity. Mid-palate notes of graphite, clove, and roasted coffee bean add depth and savory nuance. The finish is long and linear. Enjoy now with an hour airing, or from 2026 through to 2032, with red meats and hard cheese.
