Description
The new kid on the block who is taking Aussie and the world by storm. And the credentials of the place, soils, people and viticultural practices are nothing short of impressive. Founded in 2015 by Amelia Nolan (Australian), owned by Argentine Vintner Alejandro Bulgheroni, assisted by world renowned Italian Winemaker Alberto Antonini and a detailed undertaking of the many micro-terroir by Chilean terroir specialist Pedro Parra. That is too many wows to write on this page. When the Fine Wine team tasted the Kin, we were all spellbound and now The Polygons (1,3 and 5) 2022 have been released which are small parcels as identified by Pedro that can stand alone as single wines. Polygon 3 is 100% Grenache on 0.274 hectares (ha) and approximately 200 vines. Its soil profile is shallow red brown earth over deep chalky, sedimentary limestone which contains fractured schist and limited iron.
Smells
A haunting and ethereal wine with vibrant and high-toned aromatics. Notes of orange blossom, lemon verbena and white pepper surround appealing red fruit.
Tastes
A wine full of tiny, fleeting moments. The palate is seamlessly integrated with mineral edges, intense fruit, fresh herbs and distinctly limestone-derived powdery tannin. This is a wine to put away for a rainy day in about 15 years+ time, serve blind and astound all your friends. Serve with fine food, sip, savour and enjoy every drop and reflect on it as it opens in the glass. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
