Description
The wine comes from the beautiful region of Apulia in southern Italy. The wine is produced primarily from Negroamaro, 80%, and 20% Primitivo. The grapes for the wine are harvested at the end of September to the beginning of October, when the grapes have dried naturally on the vines and lost a large part of their liquid. It produces less juice, but more rich and aromatic juice. All the grapes are sorted manually before vinification begins, and finally, the wine is left for 12 months in cement tanks before bottling.
Smells
Impressive aromas of dark berries, cherries, and a touch of strawberry, as well as hints of spice, raisin, and vanilla.
Tastes
The palate is intense, packed with lots of fruit, is soft and pleasant with intense fruit notes. Great fullness and ripe tannins, give an aftertaste that is persistent and with lots of exciting nuances. Super nicely tuned Appassimento. Serve the wine at 17-18 degrees. Try with BBQ meats, beef, or the cheese board. The wine can also be enjoyed on its own without food.
