From some of the oldest and most prized vineyards in Cairanne—recently elevated to Cru status—comes this exceptional Rhône red. Domaine Boutinot’s Les Deux Barriques is a testament to tradition, terroir, and time-honoured winemaking. Crafted from hand-picked, low-yielding old vine Grenache and Carignan Noir, with Syrah and Mourvèdre from the hillside plots above the village, this wine is made with minimal intervention and maximum soul. Naturally fermented in open-topped oak vats and aged for up to 24 months in large French oak barrels, this is Cairanne at its most expressive and age-worthy.

rich and deeply perfumed the nose offers aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, black cherry, and wild herbs, laced with notes of garrigue, leather, and crushed stone.

The palate is concentrated yet poised, with layers of dark fruit, spice, and savoury undertones carried by fine-grained tannins and a mineral backbone. A powerful yet elegant Rhône red that lingers with complexity and finesse. Perfect now with robust fare, or cellar for 5–10 years to unveil further nuance. Serve with a tender fillet mignon pan fried, or perfect with hard cheese as well. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
