Description
								Recioto della Valpolicella is one of Italy’s oldest and most cherished wine styles—an indulgent dessert red born from patience and precision. JK.14’s 2021 Recioto captures that legacy in exquisite form. Made from handpicked Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes grown in the rolling hills of Valpolicella, the fruit is carefully laid out to dry in airy lofts for up to three months. This traditional “appassimento” process slowly concentrates sugars and flavours, transforming each berry into something intensely rich and aromatic. After gentle pressing, fermentation is deliberately halted before all the natural sugars are converted, preserving the wine’s luscious sweetness. Aged in oak to build depth and complexity, the result is a silken, opulent Recioto with layers of dark cherry, cocoa, and spice—an enchanting balance of sweetness and structure that speaks of tradition, time, and craftsmanship.

								 a sumptuous bouquet of black cherry compote, dried fig, and plum conserve, layered with notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon, and sweet tobacco. Hints of roasted hazelnut, espresso, and violet emerge as the wine unfolds in the glass, offering both richness and finesse.

								 On the palate, it’s velvety and deeply concentrated, with luscious dark fruits seamlessly woven through fine tannins and a gentle sweetness.
