What is it about wines from Sicily that are so enticing…? I put it down to a small island in the Mediterranean with the wonderful salty, sea breeze cooling what could be a very warm climate. The wines have a purity of fruit, a salty taste with crunch acidity that you would not think possible from this seemingly hot place. Oh and did I mention that it’s an active volcano, nothing like living and making wine on the edge….. It’s the danger and risk that helps make these wines cutting-edge…
