Description
One of McLaren Vale’s founding families, the Osborns have been nurturing old vines since 1912. The Stump Jump pays tribute to an ingenious plough that could 'jump' over roots in the vineyard—though the vineyard manager’s poor eyesight inspired the quirky eye-test label! Crafted from old bush vine Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre, this wine is a beautifully balanced, juicy GSM blend. Generous and approachable, it’s the perfect companion for midweek meals, BYO dinners, or a smoky summer BBQ.
Smells
Bright red berries of redcurrant, raspberry compote, sandalwood with hints of raisins soaked in port and a whiff of vanilla
Tastes
Juicy and plump with bright red fruit, chalky tannins, medium length, and great structure. Enjoy up to 7 years from vintage easily. If drinking within the next year, decant just prior to serving. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
