Smells
a concentrated nose with aromas of raspberry coulis, aniseed wheels, rosehip with notes of fresh rose petals and violets.
Tastes
a plush, rich palate with a luscious mid-palate balanced by fine grain, and chalky tannins. The stone-sucking tannin and acid balance are delicious and speak of the new style emerging from Abruzzo, stylish and structured. The secret is they dry a portion of the grapes and put them into the fermenter just before they have finished fermenting. The ferment still finishes producing a dry wine, while this technique adds intense concentration and power. Drinking well now through 2028 with pizza, pasta, or rich stews.
