Description
A blend of Sangiovese predominantly and Merlot, this classic Chianti has been the life of countless Italian-themed dinner parties in NZ for more than a decade. Always delivering a character filled experience and great value for money, we cannot remember a vintage that hasn’t passed our strict tasting panel and the 2023 is cut from the same cloth.
Smells
The aromas are so classically Italian, like the countryside in summer with notes of black cherries, florals, olive tapenade and rustic spices.
Tastes
Bursting with flavours of the Mediterranean the spice tinged yet softly woven palate provides plenty of excitement and inspiration for hearty Italian stews or bolognaise but would be equally enjoyable with a simple spaghetti puttanesca shared with family and friends now and through 2028+. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
