This 2023 Salcheto Chianti Biskero is a quintessential expression of Sangiovese, embodying the authenticity of Tuscan terroir with a modern, polished touch. It strikes a perfect balance between rustic charm and cosmopolitan elegance, making it equally suited for a candlelit dinner or an afternoon picnic olive trees. Hand-harvested in the Tuscan hills, the wine is a blend of Sangiovese (85%), Canaiolo (5%), Mammolo (5%) and Merlot (5%), with a portion matured in 300 – liter American oak “tonneaux” for 4 months allowing the fruit to shine while giving the wine body.

A very inviting bouquet, an aromatic burst of ripe red cherries and wild roses with and a touch of Mediterranean herbs and a hint of leather.

The wine is supple and vibrant, with a sily mouthfeel. The core of succulent red berry fruit—notably cherry, cranberry, and redcurrant—is lifted by a beam of bright, food-friendly acidity. Fine-grained tannins frame the palate, offering structure without austerity. The clean finish lingers with crushed stone note. Enjoy now or through to 2028 with red meat and pasta dishes.
