Tignanello was the first of the Super Tuscans, the wines that really put Italy on the world stage. The 2022 vintage is a very typical 78% Sangiovese, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc. Smells
Ripe red fruit immediately greets the nose underpinned by liquorice, cloves, chocolate and even hints of mint, all giving beautiful complexity.
Tastes
The palate is rich yet vibrant with tannins that coat the palate with a sensual, velvety texture. There is a gorgeous sympathy of fruit, plums, dark cherry with sweet tobacco and a striking herbal vein. This wine sings, striking a chord with all the senses, leaving you wanting more. Cellar for 10-15 years or more. Serve with your favourite Italian red meat dish.
