We think this is the biggest bottle to ever come across the Fine Wine Delivery Co tasting table, it’s huge and could easily be used as a dumbbell, but don’t drop it. A powerhouse red that impresses from whoa to go….This is a small batch wine from the famous Almansa winery, Piqueras is their more commonly known label. Made from 80-year-old vines, and fermented in new 500L open-top casks. A Monastrell (Mourvedre in French) dominant blend with Grenache, Cabernet and Syrah. This is a blockbuster and not for the faint-hearted, if you love, big, ripe, uber-juicy red wines, this is for you

deep, dark, brooding fruit aromas, black plums, dark chocolate, with notes of vanilla and toast oak.

exuberant fruit ignites the senses, a rich, ripe style, however, the grippy tannins bring balance and resolution. And the long, dark chocolatey finish is superb and again gives an almost refreshing finish, if that is a term that could be used for such a ripe style. Seriously even those loving less ripe styles will find this an excellent wine. Great drinking now through 2026 and the quintessential BBQ wine.
