Description
The Naca Organic Primitivo has proven to be an absolute superstar at Fine Wine Delivery, it’s our no.1 selling Primitivo, if not Italian red – the juicy medium weighted body, share generosity and great value price point surely has a lot to do with it. Primitivo is the Italian grape the Americans call Zinfandel. The American version is famous for being big, juicy and very fruity. Italian Primitivo can be opulently black fruited but is more elegant, savoury and dry. This organic/biodynamic Primitivo was grown by San Marzano, 100 metres above sea level in Salento, Puglia. The elevation and diurnal temperatures (cool nights, warm days) bring refined structure with fine chalky tannins and juicy acidity, keeping the generous flavours on point, right throughout its delicious palate. Serious quality red wine experience for the money, great with pasta, pizza and tomato based dishes.
Smells
Cherry, ripe black plum, subtle spice and a hint of sea salt.
Tastes
Ripe and mouth-wateringly-good with bright cherry and berry fruit, gently mouth coating chalky tannins and plenty of length. So deliciously approachable, flavoursome and elegant Primitivo at a fabulous price... drink anytime from now through 2027. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
