Description
French Côtes du Rhône is not only hugely popular with NZ red wine drinkers… Fine Wine Delivery customers have an almost insatiable appetite for it. And when a wine like Victor Berard Côtes du Rhône of this sensational quality and value crosses our path, it sells very quickly! Excellent generosity of fruit thanks to 60% Grenache, yet superbly structured due to 30% Syrah, plus 10% other Côtes du Rhône varieties. One sip and you’ll be back for more. Not only a regular quaffer par excellence… it could double as your Saturday treat too. Excellent all year round drinking through 2028.
Smells
Aromas of strawberry, wild raspberries, black plum, kirsch, with hints of forest floor, bramble, and spice.
Tastes
A well-structured Côtes du Rhône with a generous core of juicy red and black fruits wrapped in chewy, finely grained tannins. A complete Ying/yang of fruit to tannin, making this wine even more serious. For the price tag, it is out on its own. Drinking well now through 2028 with all red meats, hard cheeses; veal, mushroom and tomato inspired pasta dishes, plus save a glass to enjoy by itself after dinner.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
