Description
Since 2013, the Clonal Brothers, Matt and Steve Harrop, have been crafting delicious wine labelled Amen Break, in reference to the most sampled drumbeat in musical history (google it and you might recognise hearing it). It is mostly exported to Australia and sold through quality purveyors & select Fine Wine merchants. From the schist-studded soils of Central Otago’s Gravelly Gully vineyard comes a Pinot Noir that hums with rhythm, depth, and precision, a true expression of site and season.
Smells
Fragrant layers of dark cherry, wild raspberry, and redcurrant lift from the glass, entwined with violet, dried thyme and subtle oak spice.
Tastes
Silken and finely detailed, the palate flows with pure red and black fruit framed by fine, chalky tannins. Hints of thyme, clove, and mineral earth weave through the core, giving both texture and tension. The oak is beautifully integrated, lending polish without overbearing. Enjoy now through to 2030 with roast duck.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
