Description

One of Central Otago’s most celebrated Pinot Noirs, this wine has earned its reputation for delivering a premium experience at exceptional value. Grown in the heart of Bannockburn, it benefits from the region’s unique terroir, producing fruit of outstanding character and depth. Aged for 10 months in French oak, it receives meticulous care in the winery, with only a light fining and no filtration before bottling. The result is a seriously gorgeous Pinot Noir—silky, expressive, and beautifully balanced. While undeniably captivating now, this wine will reward patience, evolving gracefully with 4–6 years of cellaring from vintage.

Smells

The Bannockburn calling card of wild thyme leaps from the glass coupled with floral notes of the Gibbston Valley. Opulent dark and red cherries with oak spice and underbrush... it’s an aromatic charmer.

Tastes

Layers of rich, pure black/red cherries and black plum, pure as you like. The fine oak is manifested in subtle spices and toast with a delicious underbelly of savoury contrast. Its generosity is encased in seductively silky tannins and textures. It doesn’t overwhelm... rather it grows in intensity and dimension as it flows across your palate and lingers deep in your throat with absolute seduction. Enjoy with game meats, duck and roast lamb... keep a couple of glasses back to enjoy after dinner. The recommended serving temperature is 13-15 degrees.
