Description
Clearview founder and owner Tim Turvey made an inspired decision to plant his vineyards on Hawkes Bay’s Te Awanga Coast back in 1988... the hot daytime temperatures are perfectly contrasted by cooler night-time sea breezes ensuring higher natural acidity in his always perfectly ripe fruit. This Pinot Noir is made from grapes sourced from their Martinborough vineyard, with the same attention to detail.
Smells
a bramble, forest floor, cedar, dark cherries, and plum bouquet lift from the glass.
Tastes
Black cherry, mocha & red berries dominate the front palate, underpinned by a brambly, earthy, solidity of ripe tannins, cedary oak and a tight core of acidity giving freshness. A plump, dense core of fruit that's tightly woven together by tannin and acid. Drink now or over the next 2-4 years with game and other savoury meats.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
