Description
Cloudy Bay acquired two of Central Otago's finest Pinot vineyards, Northburn Station on the road to Bendigo and the famous Calvert site, formerly of Felton Road, Craggy Range and Pyramid Valley fame. Fittingly, the wine, which is a blend of the two sites is a knockout, a superbly concentrated and luscious style with structure to burn. Serious Pinot for the cellar, the new Te Wahi continues the LVMH family story of such great wines as Cheval Blanc and Dom Perignon.
Smells
A luscious and dark nose full of spicy cherries, cinnamon, clove, dark chocolate, and plums.
Tastes
Super silky and extremely complex, it has a lovely, fine-boned structure with incredible length and poise. A majestic wine that will reward cellaring through 2030. An ideal partner to duck or gamey meats.
