Description

Planted in 2002 by Californian ex-pat Gary Andrus, the model of the vineyard is clearly Burgundy with 6,000 vines to the hectare. The wine shows this old-world sensibility perfectly, the haunting perfumes and distinctly grainy tannins a hallmark of this majestic wine.

Smells

Lovely delicate florals, wild herbs, ripe cherries and cedar.

Tastes

Soft and juicy at first but backed up by a grainy tannic backbone, smoky oak and a solid core of red and black berry fruits, this is a very serious Pinot Noir with a long, luscious finish. Superb now, this will drink well for 8 to 10 years at least. Serve with gamey meat or savoury pasta dishes.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
