Our exciting latest Incognito Central Otago Pinot Noir from the outstanding 2024 vintage is delicious… whoever thought we could get to a price like this for quality Central Otago Pinot Noir? One that’s rating a mighty 4.5/5 with customers and it’s just FRESH in the bottle… it’s a sign of these Globally tough times. Here’s a sample review that perfectly defines what you’ll get in this wine… Neil Dorset 5/5 – “What a surprise!!! A wine with this quality at this price. My wife, who is not a big pinot lover was telling me to get some more. I don't need any more encouragement so I'm doing what I'm told”. We taste through thousands of wine samples every year including many parcels of premium and prestige wines submitted for our Incognito wine program. Few make the grade, which can mean a long time between drinks (so to speak), before another Incognito release of the same grape variety comes along. Our previous Incognito Central Otago Pinot Noir sold out August last year… that’s long enough to have to wait for this exciting sub $20… 2024. As always… I’m contracted to secrecy over the pedigree and origins of the wine, none of my team know. It’s how we protect quality wine brands having to deeply discount premium juice… and why they entrust us to manage their surplus premium wine CLEARANCES. From a quality vineyard, its judiciously oaked and layered with bright flavours of the excellent 2024 vintage. It will age a few years, but this is not for cellaring, it’s for regular Pinot Noir enjoyment at a mind-blowing, hugely accessible price!
Smells
Pure aromatic delight from the first sniff with violets, dark cherry, Black Doris plum, kirsch, wild herbs, and toasted Indian spices. Totally engaging.
Tastes
The palate is silky smooth with abundant black fruits & wild raspberry, with a hint of thyme… and spicy oak transcending through the succulent finish. Incredibly delicious and happy drinking now through 2027… try with duck or venison sausages and good old, mashed potatoes. Utterly gluggable Otago Pinot Noir.
