Kin from Te Kano is one of those hidden gems that never fails to impress and over-delivers on quality. It certainly stood out in our recent Fine Wine Annual Pinot Noir Tasting, where the quality level for its minor price tag, sub $30, made us all sit up and take note, astonishing!!! We are always on the lookout for top Pinots in the more affordable price bracket for our customers and this one is at the top of the list. A Pinot that all will love and superb drinking now.
Smells
classical Central aromas of lifted spice, cedar, ripe acorns, forest floor, earthy, and hints of salted, cured meats.
Tastes
a generous, juicy, fruit-forward Pinot Noir with delightful savoury complexing elements consistent with a touch of bottle age. Silky smooth tannins are in harmony with the fruit, acid, and judicious oak handling. A wine true to the region, and a wine that all lovers of Pinots from Central will feel at home with and make this their go-to house wine. Perfect with cheese, cured meats and pasta.
