Description
Wild Earth has become one of Central Otago’s great Pinot Noir success stories. Founded in 2003 by owner Quintin Quider, the label quickly shot to international fame, with a string of global trophies and golds cementing its reputation as one of New Zealand’s most awarded producers. At the heart of its success is winemaker Jen Parr, a former NZ Winemaker of the Year, whose skill and intuition capture the purity, power, and elegance that Central Otago Pinot is celebrated for. The newly released 2023 continues this legacy with style, drawn from vineyards that have delivered nearly two decades of world-class wines. Structured yet seductive, it’s a Pinot that will reward both immediate enjoyment and patient cellaring well past the 10-year mark.
Smells
Brooding with deep notes of blackberry, Satsuma plum, fine spices, and wild herbs.
Tastes
Silky smooth with outstanding concentration of black plum, blueberry and cassis infused with complex baking spices and fine herbs. The tannin/acid balance is seductive and the length divine. Enjoy upon release through 10 years, serve with gamey meats and savoury pasta dishes… save a glass or two for after dinner. For the best expression, serve lightly chilled at 13-15C.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
