Description
It was a sad day for wine consumers when pioneering winemaking Vavasour family sold their Awatere Valley vineyards. Fast forward and we can now rejoice that son Louis has returned to the region and is making striking Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Rosé, all of which regularly win multiple golds and numerous trophies. Louis set out with a plan to make outstanding Rosé and planted a specific grape clone to ensure he did just that. This 2024 perfectly illustrates that with its alluringly scented floral and wild berry aromas and dry, rich berried palate.
