Description

Enjoy this major Surplus Export & Domestic Stocks CLEARANCE of Obliix DRY Rosé from the superb 2023 Marlborough vintage… CLEARING at the unbelievable price of $9.99 bottle! An exciting new release… Obliix is part of a bold new chapter for Sir George Fistonich — the visionary founder of Villa Maria. Though saddened by the sale of his iconic winery, George’s passion for exceptional winemaking continues with Obliix, a range that reflects his enduring commitment to quality and innovation. This luscious, fine, DRY Rosé is crafted from 68% Pinot Noir grapes off their Awatere vineyard and 32% Syrah from the legendary Fistonich family-owned Cornerstone Vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels. Expect more body, flavour, and texture — yet it remains fresh, elegant, and DRY, delivering a style closer to the great Rosés of Southern France and Provence.

Smells

Captivating aromas of fresh watermelon, ripe berries, subtle spice, rich florals, creaming soda & fine citrus.

Tastes

The palate is wonderfully balanced, with a richly textured mouthfeel and beautifully pitched acidity, underpinning ripe red fruits, fresh watermelon, spice and luscious citrus fruits. Delicious Rosé with the generosity, finesse and freshly DRY finish of a French Provence style. Drinking well now through 2026 and will match with salads, salmon, and a selection of charcuterie. For optimal drinking pleasure the recommended serving temperature is 7-10 degrees.
