Description
One of the more established vineyard operations in Marlborough, the Rose family are particularly adept at exploiting the aromatic white varieties and rose to their fullest extent. Wairau River is always one of the market's best buys. And no wonder considering the winemaking team is led by the very talented Nick Entwistle; all their wines are well worth trying.
Smells
rose is a lot about the colour and this wine is a very attractive rose pink with slight orange notes. Ripe strawberries and summer red fruits waft from the glass with hints of cinnamon and cardamom and nutmeg.
Tastes
A dry refreshing style that has great balance between fruit, subtle complexities, and structure; evident by the salivating texture and refreshing acidity; very Provence rose-like in style. Drink now with canapes, cheese, seafood, or veggie dishes. 2020 was #1 & 5 Stars Best Buy Dish Magazine, and tasting this 2021, we are very confident it will follow hotly in its footsteps.
