Description
A stalwart of the Marlborough region, Whitehaven are renowned for making excellent Sauvignon Blanc and in fact, all their wines are of a very high quality. This Pinot Rose is the prime example, a fresh and fruity, dry style (the new fashion), from the excellent year of 2023. Crop levels were small giving wines richness, concentration, and the perfect acid balance. Drinking well now and the perfect combination with cheese, cured meats or canapes.
Smells
summer berry fruits with hints of passionfruit, a chalky lift and baking spices for added complexity.
Tastes
The palate is all about a pure fruit expression, red berries, strawberries, and raspberries where the concentration of fruit gives richness to the palate, the result of another great year in Marlborough. Wonderful acid levels and the dry finish make for a salivating, pleasurable drop. Drinking well now this summer and next.
