It’s called ‘Légende’ for good reason. The old-vines are nestled within the rugged, limestone-and-clay-strewn hills at 250-300m elevation in Corbières in the Languedoc region of Southern France. Château de Tréviac is a 20-hectare estate stewarded by Arnaud Sié. Generations of passion have guided its sustainable viticulture, subsequently making a full organic conversion in 2019, with a focus on biodiversity. The Légende, 70% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 10% Carignan, channels the wild, sun-kissed terroir of Corbières into a full-bodied, terroir-driven Rhone style (with more power) red blend. Smells
The nose unfolds with ripe blackberries and plums, with notes of black olive, rosemary and smoked meats.
Tastes
This wine delivers intense, concentrated black fruits wrapped in a framework of firm, rich, ripe tannins. Saline minerality and vibrant acidity lend freshness, while layers of smoky spice, chocolate and liquorice enrich the mid-palate. An elegant interplay of power and finesse.
