Description

The Esk Valley Artisanal range celebrates traditional Old-World winemaking techniques brought to life through New Zealand’s unique terroir. While the 2022 vintage came with its share of challenges, this Syrah is proof of the dedication and skill of the Esk Valley team. Crafted with care and precision, it showcases the signature elegance, spice, and vibrancy that Esk Valley Syrah is known for—regardless of the season. Beautifully balanced and deeply expressive, it’s a testament to the site and the team behind it. A wine that overdelivers in every way.

Smells

aromas of a freshly gathered basket full of summer berries, blackberries, mulberries, and raspberries encased in white pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg with subtle toasty nuances.

Tastes

Consistently across this new range, all wines have a lively, energetic palate that is impossible not to get excited about. This Syrah literally dances across your taste buds; it has a presence that is lively and engaging. That same plethora of berry flavours lingers with toasty, white pepper nuances on the finish. It’s all about freshness and pure drinkability, drinking superbly now through 2027 with your favourite BBQed meats. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
