Description

Just when you thought he couldn’t do it again... Johnny Q proves once more why he’s the king of value-packed Aussie reds! His latest venture, The Fox and The Grapes, is a masterstroke in flavour, quality, and sheer drinkability. For under $15, this may be the best value red we’ve seen from Quarisa in years. Crafted from a bold South Australian blend of 75% Shiraz and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine delivers everything you want in a full-bodied red – ripe black fruit, sweet spice, a lick of vanilla, and smooth, velvety tannins. Rich, luscious, and generous to the last drop, it’s a classic Quarisa style taken up a notch. Aged in a mix of oak barrels and tank with oak staves for 6 months, it’s beautifully balanced with that signature plush texture and power you know and love.

Smells

Lush, expressive and instantly appealing, the bouquet opens with a burst of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and plum compote. Hints of mocha, vanilla bean, and toasted spice from oak ageing add depth and intrigue.

Tastes

The Shiraz brings plush, juicy richness, while the Cabernet delivers structure and a fine tannin backbone. Smooth and mouth-filling, with a touch of chocolate and smoky spice on the long, velvety finish. Drinking well now through 2028. The perfect BBQ wine. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
