Stonewell is not just a wine—it’s a legacy. Since its debut in 1987, Stonewell has stood as the pinnacle of Peter Lehmann’s red winemaking craft. Sourced from the Barossa’s most prized low-yielding Shiraz vineyards—particularly from the dry, rugged soils of the western and northern valley—this wine is a bold expression of power, depth, and regional character. While the name pays tribute to the historic Stonewell vineyard, the wine itself is a master blend of the best parcels each vintage has to offer, representing the very heart and soul of Barossa Shiraz.
Smells
Deeply concentrated and brooding nose of liquorice, blackberry, cedar, warm earth, iron ore and exotic spices.
Tastes
Dense and lavishly concentrated with a dark core of sweet black fruit, fresh liquorice, and chalky tannins. A balancing freshness keeps the peace against the riotous fruit, and the finish is long and nutty with hints of espresso coffee. A great Stonewell from one of the greatest years the Barossa has seen - enjoy between now and 2035. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
