Description
Depressed International & Domestic wine sales have brought about this Unmissable $13.99 CLEARANCE of Sacred Hill Reserve 2022 Gimblett Gravel’s Syrah. The Reserve is normally a blend of Sacred Hill’s inland and GG vineyards. In 2022 the Reserve was crafted with 100% fruit off the legendary ‘Deerstalkers’ Gimblett Gravel’s Vineyard. The complexity, concentration, ripeness and varietal integrity of this ‘Reserve’ speaks to the legendary quality and characteristics of the Deerstalkers vineyard! From the famed Gimblett Gravels, this Syrah reflects both the concentration of the stony soils and the elegance that defines Hawke’s Bay’s cool-climate style. Crafted with restraint and precision, it balances generosity of fruit with poise and savoury complexity. Delicious now and through 2027+. You cannot normally drink legendary ‘Single Vineyard’ Syrah (or any red of such quality) at $13.99… this is several classes above your $13.99 supermarket reds.

						Smells
An alluring bouquet of violets, black cherry, and boysenberry, layered with hints of white pepper, clove, and smoked meat.

						Tastes
The palate is silky yet structured, with a core of ripe dark berry fruit wrapped in fine, cocoa powder like tannins. Bright acidity provides lift, while nuances of spice, olive tapenade, and charcuterie weave through a long, mineral-edged finish. Elegant and expressive, it shows both power and finesse, a hallmark of superior Gimblett Gravels Syrah. Enjoy now through 2027 with red meats and hard cheese.
