Description
Sister's Run have a steel-cap boot and a stiletto as its logo, a reference to the tendencies of winemaker Elena Brooks, who wears steel cap boots to work but always carries a pair of stilettos in the back of her ute in case of an emergency. The dichotomy between the two worlds of glam award nights and the hard work needed in the vineyard is perfectly represented here, with a superb balance of ripe fruits and a wonderful savouriness in the wine. A well developed, complex wine that will drink well over the next 5-6 years.
Smells
Cherry, strawberry, tobacco box and game meats. The fruit is incredibly prominent upfront but the more you go in, the more the savouriness starts coming through.
Tastes
A wonderfully gentle and creamy texture, with an abundance of berries and spice flowing through to a finish that lingers with a hint of earthiness and leather nuances. A warm and generous wine that is incredibly hard to dislike! Perfect with all BBQ meats.
