A modern interpretation of their rich heritage it’s named in honour of Yalumba’s founder, Samuel Smith. From vines up to 35-years old, after careful pressing and meticulous winemaking it is aged for 10-months in a mix of French & Hungarian Oak Hogsheads. This Classic Aussie Shiraz/Cabernet blend showcases Barossa’s renowned character. A tribute to tradition with a contemporary edge, it’s a testament to Yalumba’s enduring legacy in South Australian winemaking.
Smells
Engaging aromas of blackberry, plum, red cherry, subtle white raisin and a hint of dark rum.
Tastes
Beautifully concentrated and layered with plush blackberry, black plum, black currant and red cherry fruits. Liquorice, vanilla spice, cedar, pepper and chocolate all unfold in the creamily textured, fine tannined palate. Enjoy now and up to 10 years from vintage. Delight in a glass on its own… pair with BBQ meats or a cheeky curry for a match made in heaven. For optimal drinking pleasure serve at 16-17 degrees.
