Description
When you drive north out of the Barossa and hit the highway, most travellers think that's where the wine ends. But beyond that is a region known as the Moppa, where many of the finest wines are made (hence the Paradox). The vineyards that Yalumba now has access to use to often find their way into the $750 Penfolds Grange. Nowadays, they're in this amazing value wine that shows off Yalumba's famous red wine value.
Smells
A lovely nose of dark chocolate, dried herbs, eucalypt, tar and liquorice.
Tastes
Super silky and opulent but with a lovely hit of just ripe raspberry and boysenberry freshening up the mid palate before finishing long and filled with chocolate. Excellent wine that offers frankly unbelievable value, it will be at its best between now and 2032. Serve with your favourite roasted red meat. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
