Description
Abbotts & Delaunay’s Pays d’Oc varietal wines are fruit-forward, elegant and made for easy enjoyment. Sourced from four unique terroirs, these wines embody freshness from the Cévennes, fruitiness from Limoux, small, concentrated berries from the Aude Valley, and richness from the Hérault plain. With a focus on sustainable vineyard management, the team preserves the “Fleurs Sauvages” or “Fruits Sauvages” (wild flowers and fruits) around the vines, enhancing the vineyard’s natural balance. For added depth, one-third of the cuvée is oak-fermented for three weeks, followed by nine months of barrel aging on lees with regular stirring, including malolactic fermentation. The remainder ferments in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to preserve its fresh, vibrant character. All resulting in a harmonious blend and with just one sip, we are sure this will be your go-to Chardonnay, this summer and next.
Smells
aromas of apples, pears, white fleshed nectarines, cashew, lemon zest with hints of oatmeal and almond biscuits.
Tastes
a fresh, pretty, fruit forward style with instant appeal, where hazelnut and butter flavours linger, and intermingle with the supple texture. Super drinkable and for the price, simply irresistible and in these economic times, we need to grab every bargain that comes our way. A case seems the best answer. The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
