Winemaker Dave McKee understands the meaning of subtle oak influence, creating a masterful play of fruit and judicious oak. The oak adds a new addition of complexity and structure whilst maintaining the true Black Barn house stamp. Perfect this summer and over the next couple of years with your favourite summer salads or white meats.
Smells
aromas of peach skin, hazelnuts, cashews, hints of nectarines, nashi pears and citrus peel.
Tastes
a refined style, with subtle flavours of freshly squeezed lemons, tropical notes, warmed baking spice and the slightest hint of vanilla and toasty oak. Perfect for lovers of a more restrained style of Chardonnay showing layers of complexity and structure. Drinking well now through 2026. Serve at 10-13 degrees.
