Church Road have generously given us a 240-bottle allocation from their cellar stocks… it is offered on a first come basis to a small group of select customers – maximum 6 bottles per customer. Everything about Church Road Grand Reserve is turned up to 11. A beautiful vanilla-scented bouquet bursting with stone fruits, grapefruit, gunflint, toasty oak and pineapple, the palate is a luxurious parade of creamy and nutty flavours building towards a mouth-watering finish. Not a hair out of place in this 2021 vintage, the elegant, savoury, biscuity notes elevate it above the finest releases of Church Road Grand Reserve. Enjoy in its youth or cellar through 2027.
Smells
Tantalising vanilla bean and freshly baked bread crust, with peach, nectarine, pineapple, a delicious slatey, mineral lift, and toasty French oak.
Tastes
Gorgeously creamy with hints of crème brulée, caramel and peach cobbler, there is a lovely saline, mineral note to keep all the decadence in sync, a fresh acid line carrying a long, nuanced finish. A sensational Church Road Grand Reserve that is as good or better than anything they've ever made - serve this iconic wine with good food and good company between now and 2027- 2029.
