Description

Those of you who have been tasting wine for a few years will recognise the Oxford Landing Label, tried and true and Aussie through and through. Oxford Landing in South Australia’s Riverland is an unforgettable place. Just ask the locals. The beautiful River Murray runs through the imposing, red landscape, filling the community and environment with life and promise. The vineyards and landscape result in a collection of sustainably produced, affordable, vegan wines. And the latest release Chardonnay 2024 is superb. The 2023 was listed as one of the "Top 100 Best Australian Wines 2023/24" (Matthew Jukes) and we are sure the 24 will do equally as well, and at sub $15 this is the bargain of the century.

Smells

lifted aromas of white nectarines, Nashi pears, a dusting of vanilla pod, toasty oak and spice.

Tastes

A more restrained wine on the palate, in keeping with the new Aussie style, wines with focus, drive and length. Abundant fruit gives instant satisfaction, and where the finish is fine and detailed, a new sophisticated version of everyday drinking Aussie Chardonnays. Delicious on the palate and kind to the wallet, it’s a 100% win win scenario. Don’t delay in buying a few bottles, because once a wine gets a review from Matthew Dukes like this, the bottles literally fly off the shelves. Serve with cheese, pasta, seafood or simply enjoy by itself. The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
