Description
For 140 years, Domaine Joseph Drouhin has been a pillar of Burgundy, passed down through four generations, each driven by the same passion for excellence. Committed to organic and biodynamic principles, the estate nurtures its vines with the utmost respect for nature, allowing the terroir to shine. Puligny-Montrachet is one of the world’s greatest Chardonnay villages, known for producing wines of purity, finesse, and striking minerality. This village wine from the exceptional 2022 vintage is a must-try, particularly for those new to top-tier White Burgundy. Best cellared for 3-5 years, it will drink beautifully through 2030. Pair with white meats or pasta for an unforgettable experience.
Smells
aromas of spring flowers, nashi pear, white fleshed nectarines and hints of vanilla and toast.
Tastes
this is a wine of great finesse and a classic example of Puligny Montrachet, which also speaks of the quality of the 2022 vintage. The palate is ripe yet interspliced with lemon and apple flavours, delicate smoky notes, crushed stones, and toasted sourdough flavours suggestive of the barrel maturation. Densely structure but brightened by the zesty acidity, a wine with many years ahead. The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
