Description

From the acclaimed Pegasus Bay family, Main Divide is where winemaking freedom meets exceptional value. This label is all about creativity and craftsmanship—bringing premium techniques to wines that are deliciously affordable. The 2024 Main Divide Chardonnay is a perfect example, crafted with traditional old-world methods like wild fermentation and lees stirring. The result? A rich, layered Chardonnay with real personality—creamy, complex, buttery and utterly satisfying. It punches well above its price point and proves you don’t need to spend big to drink brilliantly.

Smells

Abundant apricot and peach aromas giving way to buttered biscuit, flint, citrus and struck match notes.

Tastes

The palate has concentrated peach, apricot and ripe citrus fruit with excellent length and poise, buoyed by refreshing acidity. A wonderfully creamy, buttery texture is balanced by a long, flinty, salivating finish with an endearing hint of ginger spice. Highly complex and highly enjoyable Chardonnay. Best between now and 2029. Serve with white meats, pasta or quiche. The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
