Description

Hailing from the illustrious Margaret River in Western Australia, Stella Bella Wines was founded in 1996 by Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald and is known for crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines highlighting regional finesse. The 2023 Chardonnay is sourced from the Luminosa and Forest Grove vineyards in southern Margaret River, utilizing mainly the Gin Gin clone and benefiting from a cool, ocean-influenced climate that preserves natural acidity and elegance. Harvested by hand, the fruit is whole‑bunch pressed and wild fermented in French oak barriques, undergoing batonnage throughout a nine-month maturation to build texture while retaining precision

Smells

The bouquet opens with delicate notes of white flowers, anise, and lemon curd with subtle spicy oak, fresh cream, and a hint of struck match.

Tastes

Taut citrus, pear, and a saline minerality unfold with poise, seamlessly integrated into the savory, nutty fine-grained oak that remains perfectly balanced. The wine concludes with a tangy grapefruit finish and remarkable persistence, revealing both elegance and finesse in its lasting line of flavor. Enjoy with seafood and soft cheese, now through to 2030.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
