Description
The 2018 vintage won Best in Show at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021, and the 2019 vintage was awarded Gold at the International Wine Challenge 2022. We are confident that our 2022 vintage will uphold this tradition of excellence. This Chardonnay is crafted from a single vineyard in the renowned Moutere Clays of Nelson, often considered the unofficial Chardonnay capital of New Zealand. It showcases rich stone fruit flavours and has been beautifully aged in new French oak, resulting in a delightfully creamy Chardonnay.
Smells
Biscuity lees influence and stone fruit, vanilla, and flint.
Tastes
Ripe peaches and grapefruit with hazelnut and toasty nuances. Creamy, mealy, and long, with a vibrant acid line. A classy Chardonnay from start to finish, it will be great with roast pork (don’t forget the apple sauce) between now and 2028. The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
